Tony Rich's debut album didn't quite fit in with the rigid format of '90s urban R&B. Instead of relying on hip-hop as his foundation, Rich takes elements from soul, blues, pop, and rock, creating a personal brand of new jack R&B. Like Prince, he synthesizes these elements into a distinctive whole. Unlike Prince, his influences are more apparent on the surface, but perhaps that should be expected from a debut. Like many first records, the songs aren't always first-rate, but the best tracks on Words stand head and shoulders above much of Rich's competition. What makes Words work is Tony Rich's audacity and his talent -- he ties together disparate influences with his melodic, soulful songwriting, forming a fresh sound that breathes new life into '90s urban R&B.

'Nobody Knows' is a song by R&B artist Tony Rich (then known as The Tony Rich Project) from his 1996 debut album Words. Released as his debut single, the song peaked at #11 on the soul singles chart,^[1] and went to #2 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts (in both cases behind Celine Dion's 'Because You Loved Me').^[2]Polar box suite crack: software. Kevin Sharp version[edit]

American country music artist Kevin Sharp recorded a cover version of the song on his 1996 debut album Measure of a Man. It was released in September 1996 as his debut single. It became his only #1 single on BillboardMiller gas diffuser. Hot Country Singles & Tracks, spending four weeks atop the chart.

Critical reception[edit]

Deborah Evans Price, of Billboard magazine reviewed the song favorably, saying that his 'smooth, melodic voice and sensitive interpretation of the lyric signal show promise for this talented new artist.'^[21]

In 1997, saxophonist Richard Elliot covered the song from his album 'Jumpin' Off.'^[26][27]Eli Mattson delivered a piano/vocal cover on the third season of America's Got Talent in 2008. British boyband JLS also recorded a cover of the song; it was leaked onto the internet in June 2010 and has now appeared as the B-Side to their single She Makes Me Wanna. British pop singer Shayne Ward included a cover on his third album, Obsession.The song is featured on the Boyzone album, BZ20, released in November 2013.
